Surfin Estate went to UK last week for a logging / single fin gala organized by James Parry. The event took place in Cornwall, James had choosen Hayle for the venue.
They catched us up in Plymouth and then drove to Land's End and went to the pub for a beer ! Then they show us our incredible house lost in the english countryside. We woke up in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by fields and cows.
James is one of the most humble surfer we've ever met but actually all the surfers we met in the UK are so humble. The spirit is so nice, they're all there for each other. Although the event was starting at 11am, everyone was there at 9 to help James to build up the tent judges, check the spot etc... After set everythings up, we all went to have a typical english breakfast with a cup of tea. The contest start under the rain, but we could see a smile on everyone !
Judges takes place under the tent and James gave the kick off event. The surf was massive and physical, especially leashless but as they said "leashes ruined surfing" !
Finally we all had so much fun, drank beers, meet true people and definitely had a great time ! Thanks to all the UK crew and especially James Parry, Rich, Grace, Matt, India, Candice, Kerry, Josh, Jack, Russ, Rob for their hospitality !
