Julien Jaca is a painter born in Toulouse in 1985. In 2012 after four years at the Beaux-Arts de Toulouse he left the school to devote himself fully to his international tattoo artist career. Through his travels and the encounters that punctuate them, Julien Jaca builds a singular vision of art and life. In 2018 an event definitively marked his life as a man and as an artist. Since then, he abandons tattooing to devote himself entirely to pictorial art. Jaca is influenced by great French artists such as Gauguin or Matisse but also and especially by American painters such as William L.Hawkins and Sam Doyle. The artist does not care about aesthetic perfection, diverting and revisiting outsider art.

Timothée Chevalier writes about Jaca:
“By initiating this deliberately explosive visual rhetoric, at once familiar and enigmatic, impertinent and serious, contemporary and ancestral, Jaca offers the viewer the choice of an interpretation as protean and liberated as his work.”
